And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

The Mighty Prince And Other Fabulous Fables | Canada Water Culture Space | 3 Oct (pictured)
It’s a Saturday in autumn and I bet there will loads of parents out there looking for stuff to entertain their kids that doesn’t depend on the weather… so here’s a good option. This looks like a lovely colourful show for younger audiences, and features five separate bite-size stories, based on tales told by the Buddha, incorporating rhyme, puppetry, live music and song. Get more info and book your tickets here.

The Fabric Of India | Victoria and Albert Museum | 3 Oct-10 Jan
A new exhibition at the V&A opens today, and I think they might have designed it specifically with me in mind, because I am mildly obsessed with textiles at the moment, and I love the look of these amazing fabrics, wall hangings and clothes. There will be more than 200 objects on display, so that should keep you busy for a little while. It’s all part of a wider India Festival taking place over the next few months, so check out the other things too. More info on the Fabric exhibition here.

Live At The Chapel With Reginald D Hunter | Union Chapel | 3 Oct
This super-sounding comedy night, helmed by everyone’s favourite export of the city of Albany, Georgia, US (Reginald D Hunter, if that’s not clear), features some of my very bestest funny people. The Horne Section, Boy With Tape On His Face, Sheeps, Roisin Conaty. Guaranteed not to be a waste of your time. See this page here for more info and tickets.
