And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

THEATRE: Creditors | Young Vic | 9-19 Sep
This is renowned playwright David Grieg’s adaptation of August Strindberg’s 1888 play ‘Creditors’, directed by Genesis Future Directors Award winner Rikki Henry. It’s a brutal, naturalistic piece focusing on the breakdown of a hitherto happy marriage, wrecked by the scheming machinations of a third party. See the venue website here for more info and to book tickets.

COMEDY: Corey White, The Cane Toad Effect | Soho Theatre | 7-12 Sep (pictured)
As you know from reading our tips the last few days, we are still haunted by What We Saw In Edinburgh. Though, to be fair, we didn’t actually see this in Edinburgh (there’s a lot to get through). We know a few folk who did, though, and they say we should definitely see it now it’s on in London. The show, which deals with Australian comedian Corey White’s rough upbringing, got a great reception in his home country, winning him Best Newcomer 2015 at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Best Overall Comedy Show 2014 at the Sydney Fringe Festival. Tickets and info right about here.

THEATRE: The Man Who Had All The Luck | King’s Head Theatre | 2-26 Sep
It’s the 100th anniversary of the birth of late, great playwright Arthur Miller this year, so this is a timely revival of one of his earlier plays ‘The Man Who Had All The Luck’. Produced by only-recently-formed theatre company End Of Moving Walkway, who last year won acclaim and award nominations for their production of ‘Oh, the Humanity and Other Good Intentions’. More info, and tickets, here.
