Festival Of The Spoken Nerd

And today’s ThisWeek-tipped, LDN-based events are…

COMEDY: Festival Of The Spoken Nerd – Just For Graphs | Udderbelly | 21 May (pictured)
Self-confessed nerd comedians, mathematician Matt Parker, physicist Helen Arney and all-rounder Steve ‘Danger’ Mould come together for their latest show at the Festival Of The Spoken Nerd. There will be experiments, songs, graphs and fire. And, of course, lots of laughs. Details and tickets here.

COMEDY: Julian Clary | The Crazy Coqs | 19-23 May
Following on from his residency at The Crazy Coqs last year, Julian Clary returns for another run, accompanied by pianist Simon Wallace. “I’m hoping it will be a classy occasion. Me perched on a stool sharing a bowl of cheesy balls with the audience before launching into my carefully honed musical repertoire”, says Clary. “Think Bruce Springsteen without the gingham shirt”. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: Temple | Donmar Warehouse | 21 May – 25 Jul
Steve Waters’ new play is a fictionalised account of the events surrounding the appearance of the Occupy London camp from outside St Paul’s Cathedral in October 2011, covering protesters pitching their tents, and the City Of London’s legal action to remove them. Details and tickets here.
