TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES
Amused Moose Soho presents… Mark Dolan and Tom Stade, Moonlighting, 12 Jan
Ever-curious TV type Mark Dolan joins ‘Rockin’ Canadian comic Tom Stade, pessimistic wit Nush Kumar, off-piste Camden poseur Joey Page and others besides in a concerted attempt to have an Amused Moose audience laughing its antlers off. Or at least, laughing. Event details and tickets here.
TODAY’S THEATRE CHOICES
Old Times, Harold Pinter Theatre, 12 Jan – 6 Apr (pictured)
What establishment more apt to host a production of Harold Pinter’s 1971 play ‘Old Times’ than a theatre christened (just eighteen months back, if I remember rightly) after the man himself? Well, none, really. Kristin Scott-Thomas, Lia Williams (who’ll alternate the parts of protagonists Anna and Kate night by night, ‘Frankenstein’-style) and Rufus Sewell star in this typically Pinterian portrayal of relationships, reminiscence and tense sexuality, both past and present. Event details and tickets here.
