Salutations, lovers of London culture. What say you to these fine invitations?

TODAY’S COMEDY CHOICES

Susan Murray – Eyes Down For A Full Murray, Etcetera Theatre, 14-15 Aug
ThreeWeeks-rated comedienne Susan Murray takes her fight against middle age, parasites, parkas, plastic plants and… her Dad’s secret vasectomy to the Camden Fringe, ticking off box after box in a kind of big, real life game of angst bingo. Details and tickets here.

TODAY’S MUSIC CHOICES

Rose Elinor Dougall, Shacklewell Arms, 14 Aug (pictured)
Once of 1960s-style girl-pop poppets The Pipettes, Rose Dougall has since (bar a vocal spot on Mark Ronson’s ‘Record Collection’ LP) gone solo, and tonight sings live in Dalston to promote her infinitely playable new single, ‘Strange Warnings’, the first sign of a sophomore LP that’s still in the making. Details and tickets here.

TODAY’S THEATRE CHOICES

Lee Mead And Friends, The Pheasantry, 14-19 Aug
Oh go on, stop groaning. Why not go to Chelsea and hear ex-‘Any Dream Will Do’ winner Lee Mead – who really does have a great voice, it has to be said – displaying said voice at its most beautiful as he sings with ‘Wicked’ star with Ashleigh Gray and arranger Will Stuart on piano. Details and tickets here.

The Other School, St James Theatre, 14-17 Aug
The writer of highly praised lads-in-Malaga musical ‘Departure Lounge’, Dougal Irvine, scripts this ‘psycho-logical’ new drama about a girl and boy who, on arriving at a new school, start to notice strange things (freak accidents, a creepy caretaker, and the like) are at play. Details and tickets here.
