COMEDY: Don’t Drop The Egg, Leicester Square Theatre, 28-31 Jan This “so funny” show about a group of young rugby thugs – the cocky one, the goofy one and the nice one – romps on to the LSQ stage following a solid run at 2013’s Edinburgh Fringe. Details and tickets here.

FESTIVAL: Vault Festival, The Vaults, 28 Jan – 8 Mar A goldmine of alternative cultural riches spanning stand-up, theatre, live music and performance of all kinds, the Waterloo Vaults’ six-week festival opens its trove tonight, offering introductory delights like Lou Stein’s wild staging of ‘Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas’, David Aula’s adaptation of Ian McKewan’s distorted coming-of-age drama ‘The Cement Garden’, and speakeasy swingtime with the Kansas Smitty’s House Band. Details and tickets here.

MUSIC: Connan Mockasin, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, 28 Jan Psychedelic pop savant Connan Mockasin runs his fingers through silky new LP ‘Caramel’, continuing the man-and-mammal love-narrative of his last one, ‘Forever Dolphin Love’. Details and tickets here.
