Anders Lustgarten’s Lampedusa follows the stories of two people working on the island of Lampedusa, sat between North Africa and Italy. Stefano’s job is to pull drowned migrants out of the sea, while Denise goes door to door collecting payday loans. Along the way these two strangers find hope and connection where they least expect it. Details and tickets here.

THEATRE: Serial Killers | Bridewell Theatre | 30 Jun – 4 Jul
James Griffin’s comedy ‘Serial Killers’ follow a week in the lives of five writers of TV medical soap opera ‘Heart Of Hearts’. Ratings are falling, so they come up with an exciting storyline for one of the main characters, heart-throb surgeon Dr Robert Gilligan, which will ultimately see him written out. But the actor behind him doesn’t want to go, and quickly behind-the-scenes the drama becomes all too real. Details and tickets here.
